ZEPHYR

The album Lahor/Zephyr was written for various flute ensembles (duos, trios, and quartets), with the option of including the ever-appealing alto flute. It is intended for students who are discovering the beauty of the sound and the expressive capabilities of the instrument, yet these compositions can easily become part of a professional musician’s repertoire.

“Aria” opens the album with refinement and delicacy — a singing melody that breathes the soul of the flute in its purest, most expressive form. Grade 3rd and up

Spirited and carefree, “Charming Dance” takes us back to the lightness of childhood, where every step is a dance. Grade 3rd and up

The beauty of late autumn unfolds through a modern 12/8 waltz rhythm, bridging Art Nouveau, Romantic harmony and contemporary life with the warmth of a “November afternoon”. Grade 5th and up

Temperamental and sparkling, “The Song of the morning Dew” captures the shimmer of light and color in early summer — the playfulness of nature that never ceases to enchant. Grade 5th and up

A dance deceptively simple on the surface, “The Butterflies’ Song to the Sun” weaves captivating rhythms that linger in the soul long after the music fades. Grade 6th and up

An ancient melody rooted in the Balkan soil, “Dance” draws on the spirit of the Levant — evoking timeless values and the deep memory carried in a simple, evolving line. Grade 3th and up

Throughout the album, special attention is given to the indigenous rhythms of our region. “Karma” connects East and West through the pulse of 7/8, letting a Western melody course through the veins of the Balkan kolo. Grade 5th and up

The blazing Mediterranean summer shimmers and dances in “The Cypress Song” moving freely between joyful and melancholic — like light on water that never quite holds still. Grade 5th and up
